Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong entrepreneurial mindset to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow and learn within a collaborative environment. Key attributes for success include attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller with various Human Resources and Payroll functions, including the processing of bi-weekly payroll.
- Maintain and update information in HRIS, Applicant Tracking, Benefits Enrollment Portal, and other relevant platforms.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of offer letters and coordination of background checks.
- Manage employee recognition initiatives and assist in event planning.
- Ensure accurate data management in Paylocity, including processing pay rate changes and updating employee records.
- Coordinate monthly performance reviews and facilitate feedback processes through Paylocity's Performance Management module.
- Track and distribute monthly birthday and anniversary acknowledgments.
- Assist with job description updates and salary range adjustments in the Compensation Module.
- Oversee employee access to record keeper sites and manage certification class enrollments.
- Conduct monthly audits on health, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance invoices to verify accuracy of deductions.
- Collaborate with Paylocity to establish new state withholding and unemployment accounts as needed.
- Support the annual open enrollment process by updating and auditing payroll deductions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in payroll and HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, ADP, or Paychex; prior experience with Paylocity is highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with advanced skills in creating pivot tables and utilizing VLookup functions.
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing is advantageous.
Compensation
Hourly wage ranges from $25 to $35.
