Position Overview

You will oversee daily activities of warehouse personnel, ensuring adherence to company protocols.

Job Responsibilities

Key Duties:

  • Supervise daily operations across designated warehouse areas, including but not limited to: selection, loading, shipping, receiving, safety, sanitation, replenishment, and product storage in various warehouse environments.
  • Direct and manage the activities of Warehouse Associates to fulfill customer orders and maintain efficient warehouse operations.
  • Provide guidance and training to Warehouse Associates on established quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Manager to create employee performance development plans (PDPs); mentor and coach Associates to enhance their performance and retention.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Safety, Retention, Productivity, Budget, and Quality.
  • Conduct safety, quality, and operational audits, fostering a culture of accountability among Associates.
  • Perform accident investigations in accordance with company guidelines, documenting findings with discretion.
  • Travel Requirements: None

Work Environment

  • Freezer Warehouse (-20F to 0F)
  • Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
  • Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Required Skills

  • Specialized Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Special Skills: Effective people management, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and move merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods (10-12 hours).

Experience Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant warehouse experience; Team Lead or Supervisory experience managing 15+ associates is preferred; Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems is advantageous.

Educational Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in General Studies, Bachelor's Degree in General Studies, General Equivalency Diploma, or High School Diploma.
