Job Summary

G.S. Precision is seeking a highly skilled CNC Milling Lead to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Risk Awareness: Promote a safe work environment, identify potential risks, and implement preventive measures.
  • Leadership and Team Coordination: Lead, motivate, and guide a team of employees to meet production targets and objectives.
  • Work Assignment and Task Delegation: Assign daily tasks, file numbers, and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and capabilities.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Enforce adherence to strict quality control measures and aerospace industry standards.
  • Training and Skill Development: Identify training needs within the team and provide on-the-job training and coaching.
  • Communication and Reporting: Facilitate effective communication within the team and relay important information from the Supervisor.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Address operational challenges promptly and collaboratively with your team.
  • Performance Monitoring and Feedback: Monitor individual and team performance against goals and targets.
  • Resource Utilization: Optimize the utilization of available resources, including manpower and equipment.
  • Adherence to Schedules and Deadlines: Coordinate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Collaboration with Other Teams: Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure smooth workflow and cross-functional coordination.
  • Employee Engagement and Motivation: Foster a positive work environment that encourages employee engagement and motivation.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, production data, and any issues encountered.
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma: Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in the machining field or equivalent knowledge.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong commitment to safety and the ability to foster a safety-first culture.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and operations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Problem Solving Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
