Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our Wound Center team at UNC Health Care. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex wounds, utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient care needs, developing individualized plans to promote wound healing and prevent complications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including wound care specialists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education to patients and families on wound care, prevention, and management, as well as promote self-care and independence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize wound care practices.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including wound assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in wound care or a related field.
