Facilities Mechanic Position Summary

At TidalHealth, we're seeking a skilled Facilities Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you'll be responsible for installing, inspecting, operating, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure our facilities run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, operate, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform general building maintenance to ensure our facilities are safe and well-maintained.
  • Provide exceptional workmanship and quality services to all patients, visitors, staff, contractors, and other customers.
  • Present yourself in a professional manner and be willing to assist and complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. Mechanical field technical courses are preferred.
  • Four years of experience as a maintenance mechanic is required. Building/Facility maintenance is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and verification of insurability under Peninsula Regional Medical Center's automobile insurance plan are required for occasional driving duties.
Work Schedule:
  • Assigned to day/evening shifts, Monday through Friday.
  • Participates in weekend coverage rotation.
  • Expected to work overtime on occasion and respond to emergency calls if needed.
Benefits:
  • Full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period, and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
