About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Acts Retirement-Life Communities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and improvement of our building utility systems, including electrical wiring and control systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), water supply, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building utility systems, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct carpentry work, including installing, repairing, and replacing wood and other materials.
  • Support the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in carpentry and maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4-5 years of technical maintenance experience.
  • Carpentry experience is a must.
  • Strong people skills and commitment to customer service.
  • Expert technical knowledge of one or more of the following: electricity and national electrical codes, painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or sprinkler systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
