Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain medical history, triage patients, and record vital signs
  • Reconcile medication lists in the electronic health record
  • Respond timely and appropriately to tasks
  • Administer injections per physician order
  • Report any abnormal results to physicians immediately
  • Maintain clean exam rooms
  • Comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Medical Assisting certification from a nationally recognized organization
  • Medical Assisting Degree, preferred
  • Minimum one year of working in a medical facility as a medical assistant
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
