Nursing Career Development Program for RNs

Rutland Regional Medical Center is committed to supporting the development of new nurses and helping them succeed in their careers. Our nurse residency program provides new graduates with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to deliver high-quality patient care.
The estimated salary for this role is $41,600 - $69,440 per year, based on national averages for similar positions in Vermont. With experience and certifications, you can earn higher salaries within this range.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and interventions.
- Participating in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.
To be successful in this role, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, but a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Additionally, you must be licensed in the State of Vermont and hold BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
