Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Engineer to join our Power Engineering Department. As an Associate Engineer, you will provide technical support to projects requiring civil and structural engineering design and analysis services for National Grid Generating facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engineering and design services for generation assets and systems.
- Develop project bid specifications and assist in the procurement of engineering design work and construction services.
- Perform structural analysis calculations and modeling.
- Draft design and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
- Write reports and communicate results and recommendations through presentations.
- Provide support for need cases to various teams during hearings.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Graduated between May 2024 and June 2025.
- Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025.
- Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy.
- Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
National Grid USA offers a competitive salary range of $97,000 - $114,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
