Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist at Steward Health Care, you will operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain high-quality images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting appropriate imaging techniques and operating console and peripheral hardware to produce accurate results.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate and timely processing of images.
Transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, working under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.
Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in the area of specialty is preferred, along with at least 2 years of experience in the field or a related area. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) is also required. CPR/BLS certification is necessary upon hire, with AHA or ARC certification accepted.
