MRI Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
As an MRI Technologist at Steward Health Care, you will be responsible for operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain high-quality images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of various pathologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and operate appropriate imaging techniques and console and peripheral hardware.
- Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor.
- Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
- Perform a variety of tasks under general supervision.
- Work independently with a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
- Report to a chief technologist or manager.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in the area of specialty is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) is required.
- CPR/BLS certification is required upon hire (AHA or ARC).
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
