Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Educational Assistant to join our team at MATC. This role will provide support to students in achieving their academic goals by providing tutoring, academic support, and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and group tutoring to students in various subjects, including Math, English/Writing, Anatomy, and Physiology, and Chemistry.
  • Assist students with problem resolution related to computers, class issues, software applications, and audio/visual systems.
  • Coordinate and administer makeup test proctoring services for MATC students.
  • Assist with district-wide recruitment, interviewing, application, hiring, and training of tutors.
  • Update inventory and other data, prepare relevant reports, study guides, and reference materials.
  • Act as a liaison between students and faculty, providing general information about MATC and referring students to other departments or services as needed.
  • Participate in related in-service training, workshops, divisional meetings, and other educational activities as required.
Requirements

Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in teaching, education, or area of needed expertise.

Required Experience: Two (2) years of work experience in education or in the area of specialization.

Preferred Experience: More than two (2) years of relevant experience. Bilingual in Spanish is also preferred.
