Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is actively seeking Clinical Laboratory Specialists to enhance our operations. We are a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) dedicated to providing innovative solutions to our Federal clients across various sectors.
Our team is composed of intelligent and dedicated professionals who prioritize the success of our clients, addressing challenges in national security, healthcare, and information technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly rotate through various laboratory areas where training and competency have been established.
- Conduct a comprehensive range of laboratory tests in areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Transfusion Medicine.
- Execute advanced and intricate laboratory procedures, identifying deviations from expected outcomes and applying scientific principles to resolve issues.
- Communicate critical results that may impact patient care effectively.
- Ensure optimal operation of laboratory equipment, maintaining accurate documentation, performing calibration, identifying malfunctions, and conducting preventive maintenance.
- Implement and document quality control and assurance measures, utilizing sound statistical principles and performance improvement theories.
- Enter and validate laboratory results in the computer system, addressing any discrepancies using scientific methodologies.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned relevant to the role of a Clinical Laboratory Specialist.
Qualifications
- An accredited Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry).
- Completion of an accredited clinical practice program in medical technology (e.g., NAACLS, CAAHEP, ABHES) OR an accredited Bachelor's degree with specific coursework in biological science, chemistry, and mathematics, along with two years of post-certification clinical laboratory experience as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP-BOC).
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist within the last three years.
- Proven knowledge of laboratory medicine techniques and practices.
- Demonstrated education and clinical training in laboratory medicine.
Physical Requirements
All candidates must be capable of:
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching above shoulder level during the work shift.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs from floor to waist and carrying up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
- Pushing or pulling with a force of 30 lbs.
