Experience Requirements:
Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English is essential. The candidate must possess the physical capability to move furniture and equipment as needed for thorough cleaning. Strong communication and time management skills are advantageous. Basic computer skills are also preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective cleaning methods and procedures in clinics, offices, and communal areas within the Carle organization.
  • Exhibit knowledge of safe chemical handling practices and the proper disposal of biohazard materials.
  • Carry out all cleaning tasks with consideration for the unique needs of patients and staff.
  • Demonstrate understanding of infection control techniques and appropriate hand hygiene practices.
  • Complete the required training course successfully.
  • Support Environmental Services Leadership on a daily basis.
  • Meet all qualifications for the Environmental Services Technician certification.
  • Show proficiency in chemical handling procedures.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Make unoccupied beds following established protocols.
  • Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas using prescribed methods.
  • Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Utilize wet mopping techniques according to established guidelines.
