Expected compensation for this role is $41.57/hour, contingent upon experience, skills, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role involves assisting management in supervising and guiding the activities of technical staff engaged in conducting a variety of routine and advanced laboratory analyses.

The incumbent will establish work priorities, organize, and allocate tasks to Clinical Laboratory personnel.

Additionally, the position entails performing more intricate and/or specialized testing procedures while routinely verifying the validity and precision of test outcomes produced by laboratory staff.

The individual will regularly undertake the responsibilities of laboratory technical staff. This role necessitates independent judgment and requires professional education and certification.
This position will oversee the Blood Bank department and mandates prior experience in blood banking.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education, Certifications, and Skills:
A bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science is essential.

Successful completion of the ASCP or AMT Board of Certification CLS examination within the first year of employment is also a requirement.

Alternative bachelor's degrees are acceptable with successful completion of ASCP or AMT MLS/MT/CLS/CG certification examination prior to employment. The candidate must maintain current certification as per the guidelines established by the relevant certifying agency. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective interaction and communication with patients and other healthcare professionals. A high level of professionalism and adept performance in high-pressure situations is expected.

Required Experience:
A minimum of one year of relevant laboratory experience is required.
