Job Overview

The Bakery Operations Manager at W3Global Inc. is a pivotal role that oversees the entire production process of our high-speed automated bakery, ensuring seamless and efficient delivery of premium-quality baked goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in supervising production floor staff and managing operations to fill this critical position. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a high-speed automated bakery environment, specifically in bread production. They must be well-versed in supervising production floor staff, managing daily activities, enforcing safety and quality standards, and maintaining production schedules under the direction of the Production Manager.

Core Duties:
  1. Production Operations:
    • Oversee and coordinate all activities on the production floor to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality output.
    • Monitor production schedules to guarantee timely completion of orders.
    • Adjust operations as needed to accommodate equipment breakdowns or process delays.
  2. Team Management:
    • Lead and manage production floor staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
    • Train and mentor team members to ensure adherence to company standards and practices.
    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and address any concerns immediately.
    • Promote and enforce food safety and hygiene practices among staff.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee production processes to ensure products meet established quality standards.
    • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to identify and resolve issues promptly.
    • Maintain accurate records of production metrics and quality checks.
  5. Equipment and Maintenance:
    • Monitor the performance of automated bakery equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team.
    • Coordinate minor repairs or adjustments to minimize downtime.
  6. Communication and Reporting:
    • Communicate regularly with the Production Manager regarding production updates, challenges, and resource needs.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of production data, staff schedules, and incident reports.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a high-speed automated bakery environment, specifically in bread production.
  • Proven experience in supervising production floor staff and managing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of automated bakery equipment and production processes.
  • Familiarity with safety and food quality standards (e.g., OSHA, HACCP, FDA).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in food production is a plus.

Work Environment:

This role involves working primarily on the production floor in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment, with regular exposure to flour dust, loud machinery, and standing for extended periods.
