About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, coordinate team members, and ensure successful project completion.
- Collaborate with senior management for project coordination and resource allocation.
- Determine technical staffing needs and work with HR to recruit candidates.
- Coach and develop team members using best practices, performance management, and training tools.
- Participate in planning, cost estimation, project management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
- Use company processes to provide quality checks and reviews of all assigned projects.
- Manage quality and accuracy standards, review, and approve completed technical deliverables.
- Perform technical analysis and solutions for complex or unique projects.
- Secure peer review to guarantee quality products meet client expectations.
- Use scheduling and earned value tools to ensure predictable forecasting and timely project completion.
- Develop client rapport by providing valued technical and managerial solutions.
- May serve as a project manager, project engineer, or client manager for single-discipline projects.
- Assist with business development activities to maintain team productivity.
- Provide support and input for client proposals and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required.
- 15+ years of automation engineering experience required.
- Process flow drawing (PFD) development experience required.
- PLC/DCS Programming experience.
- SCADA/HMI Programming experience.
- Experience in instrument design and selection preferred.
- Ability to perform flow design calculations required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to multi-task and be highly organized.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
