The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all post-award activities related to sponsored projects, ensuring compliance with sponsor rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post-Award Project Activities
    • Review and coordinate resolution of issues related to terms and conditions of sponsored agreements.
    • Review and submit federal and non-federal financial reports, obtaining final validation and signature from Principal Investigators.
    • Coordinate with Investigators, administrators, and Columbia Finance on overrun clearance transactions.
    • Process post-award budget re-allocations, subcontract purchase order allocations, no-cost extension requests, and advance setups through the IPASS system.
    • Update and maintain master systems for consolidating reports.
    • Ensure project account setup with SPA office and compliance with sponsor rules.
    • Work with NYSPI divisions and PI's to ensure final scientific progress reports and Inventions Statement reports.
  • Post-Award Financial Activities
    • Assist and advise PI's and/or administrators on post-award account management.
    • Collaborate with payroll and purchasing on post-award financial issues.
    • Manage OMH contracts, including reporting, invoicing, and renewal submissions.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience required; plus 4 years related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years Knowledge and experience with sponsored projects pre/post award.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work appropriately in an extremely busy office environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and analytical skills essential.
