Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and apprentices to ensure timely completion of work orders and projects.
  • Administer scheduling, time and attendance, and performance feedback to ensure optimal job performance.
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot major maintenance projects with maintenance teams, plant engineers, and continuous improvement teams.
  • Ensure quick and effective response to line breakdowns and investigate and complete failure analysis on work order challenges.
  • Communicate with supervisors across shifts and departments to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules and provide breakdown and equipment repair status reports.
Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience in an industrial mechanics or related position, or an industrial mechanics degree or equivalent technical diploma and one year of plant maintenance experience.
  • One year of leadership and/or project management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including professional oral and written communication, a team-focused approach, and the ability to model composure and make decisions in stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in food manufacturing facilities, particularly in the poultry industry.
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge, including USDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and food safety (SQF).
  • Strong computerized maintenance management system knowledge.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Work Environment

The Maintenance Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with wide variations in temperature, dust, noise, and slippery floors. Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Physical Demands

The position requires extensive standing, sitting, lifting, and wearing factory-required equipment while working in production. Climbing stairs, visual inspections, and quick responses to equipment and team needs are also required.

Travel

Some travel may be required to assist in other facilities (less than 5%).
