Join Our Team as a Project Leader for the PNT Program Office

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Leader to lead the PNT Program Office (PNT PO) work program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing data-driven recommendations for key systems engineering activities related to the PNT PO mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routinely engage senior sponsors at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia and Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, to develop a deep understanding of their mission challenges.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership as a trusted advisor to PNT PO, while growing and strengthening sponsor engagement and enhancing MITRE's role in proactively shaping programs to achieve operational mission objectives.
  • Develop and define PNT PO project outcomes in alignment with NSEC Space Warfighting outcomes.
  • Align project work to identify and address the toughest current and future challenges sponsors face, supporting enterprise and corporate-level initiatives.
  • Oversee the technical performance, staffing, and funding execution for the resources provided by 5 different government stakeholders.
  • Manage and oversee MITRE's largest subcontract supporting this effort.
  • Utilize clarity, financial reporting tools, project pages, meeting coordination, status reports, future MITRE support requests, project work statements, and other resources to achieve project goals and ensure delivery.
  • Conduct in-progress task and analysis reviews, peer reviews, and technical quality reviews with chief engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality MITRE products.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance (TS) with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrated technical depth in the field of systems engineering in one or more of the following mission areas: satellite communications, satellite navigation, operational assessments, prototyping, and experimentation.
  • Experience working acquisition programs in one or more of the following mission areas: aviation platform integration, PNT user equipment, and satellite navigation.
  • Experience as a technical or program manager, experience on acquisition programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to build collaboration across organizational units.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with Government Sponsors.
  • Ability to effectively communicate highly technical and conceptual ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability for critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive in research and problem-solving with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S. or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Aerospace, or a related STEM field, and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or M.S. degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the field of systems engineering in one or more of the following mission areas: satellite communications, satellite navigation, operational assessments, prototyping, and experimentation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading geographically separated teams with the diverse background and skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work shape within a team to drive technical impact.
  • Experience in managing interagency reimbursement agreements.
