Job Summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking a highly organized and professional individual to serve as a Recruitment and Resources Specialist. This position will coordinate, monitor, and develop the foster care recruitment program for an assigned area, working to ensure the effective implementation of a locally focused, targeted foster home recruitment plan.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conceptualize, coordinate, monitor, and develop the foster care recruitment program for an assigned area
  2. Provide professional support and strengthen Department relationships with foster parents
  3. Develop and implement a localized plan to identify resource needs
  4. Translate and interpret, both orally and in writing, for Spanish speaking clients regarding services available and the proper completion of forms
  5. Develop contracts for unmet service needs in conjunction with the Office of Contract Administration
  6. Provide professional assistance and resource development support to casework staff with specialized, problematic service need cases
  7. Provide and maintain reports and analyze data with respective workers, supervisors, and administrators to facilitate an understanding and awareness of foster parent recruitment and resource needs
  8. Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge regarding foster program data analysis and its application to program improvement on a regional and statewide level
Requirements
  1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of a master's degree
  2. Requires two years of progressively responsible professional experience in community organization, social service work, or in program planning and development
  3. Requires ability to speak and write Spanish at a colloquial skill level
Working Conditions
  1. Requires the ability to pass a background check
  2. Requires possession of a valid driver's license and ability to travel, including evening and weekend travel
