As a Machinist with the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of our equipment. Your expertise will be in high demand as you work with a variety of machine shop tools and equipment to repair, modify, and fabricate parts for all types of Army vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment to repair and modify parts
  • Measure work with precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers
  • Study blueprints and written plans to ensure accurate fabrication and repair of parts
  • Utilize welding gear and other equipment to join metal parts together
