Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Account Executive/Underwriter to join our Ocean Marine team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for underwriting and negotiating customer accounts, managing profitability, growth, and retention, and cultivating relationships with internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability
  • Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Foster and maintain relationships with external partners to market and sell Travelers products
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills
  • Develop and execute agency sales plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three to five years of relevant underwriting experience in Ocean Marine, Luxury Yacht
  • Knowledge of Ocean Marine products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze information and make timely decisions
  • Communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate with agents and brokers
