Principal Product Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Manager to lead the development of Amazon Echo devices and Alexa technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the next-generation of Echo devices, working closely with engineering, design, operations, finance, and executive teams to bring features and products to market.
Key Responsibilities- Set the vision and strategy for Amazon Echo, defining and delivering the next-generation of Echo devices
- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Define use cases, requirements, and prioritization for Echo device capabilities, working with partner teams to deliver new and creative Alexa experiences through devices
- Learn and be curious about technology roadmaps that can shape the future of devices
- Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support load
- Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to market
- Drive product launches, including working with public relations teams, executives, and other product management team members
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end-to-end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in technical product management
- Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
