About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Pelican Grand Beach Resort. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our resort's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Operation: Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Possess professional English communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues.
  • Technical Knowledge: Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building.
  • Experience: Prior maintenance experience in a resort or hotel environment is preferred.
