Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and examinations using various analyzers and manual methods.
- Organize workload and prioritize tasks to meet turnaround time expectations.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
- One year of work or training experience in a hospital laboratory preferred.
- MLT(ASCP) - Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or CLA - Certified Laboratory Assistant (ASCP) or MLT - Medical Laboratory Technician (AMT) certification within one year.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals, biological agents, and other hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to achieve and maintain accuracy.
