Employment Training Coordinator

As an Employment Training Specialist at YAI, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving their employment goals.
This position requires a dynamic and compassionate individual who can provide one-on-one support, facilitate job skills training, and assist with community-based supported employment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, wellness, and safety of the people we support, while also implementing person-centered plans and assisting with various tasks as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring health, wellness, and safety by providing appropriate supervision and managing crisis situations.
- Implementing person-centered plans and assisting with tasks as needed.
- Supporting individuals in realizing, setting, and meeting their employment goals.
- Facilitating ethical decision-making and respectful communication.
- Responsible for caseload of individuals, arranging and scheduling workplace visits, virtual and one-on-one meetings, and coordinating required meetings.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of work experience providing vocational or pre-vocational services to individuals with disabilities, and completion of necessary trainings, including OPWDD-approved vocational rehabilitation or supported employment training programs.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to model and teach work readiness skills, and willingness to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an occupational setting.
The compensation for this position is $18.00/hour.
