Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at OhioHealth. As a Technical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy and various technical and clerical functions in the laboratory
  • Conduct routine laboratory procedures based on principles of human growth and development
  • Handle blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing
  • Active driver's license and personal auto insurance (for associates working in skilled nursing facilities)
  • Strong customer service, computer, and communication skills
