We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Indiana University Health. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing general laboratory services, including specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation, and pre-analytic processing of specimens.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
  • Enter orders and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare blood components and other laboratory materials
  • Perform pre-analytic processing of specimens
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with patients and healthcare teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program or coursework in biological, chemical, or related sciences
  • Experience in laboratory or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
