The Environmental Compliance Engineer role at LANXESS entails assisting the senior engineer in overseeing and managing the South Arkansas Air Compliance Program. This includes supervising regulatory compliance documentation, aiding daily Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) sampling activities, and offering capital expenditure and operational support for site initiatives. The position also encompasses developing permitting strategies, compliance documentation, advocating for sustainable practices, and enhancing program efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of Permitting Strategies and Project Assistance
  • Preparation of Compliance Documentation
  • Advocacy for Corporate Sustainable Practices
  • Interpretation of Federal and State Regulations and Participation in Meetings
  • Conducting Inspections, Generating Reports, and Delivering Presentations for Clients
  • Facilitating Team Development and Enhancement
  • Continuous Improvement of Programs
  • Management of Program Contractor Support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Clean Air Act Title V permitting standards
  • Professional Engineering certification or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe
