Job Highlights

LANXESS Americas is seeking a talented Process Engineering Intern to join our team. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on short-term projects that offer hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze processes and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Propose and implement changes to streamline production, reduce waste, or enhance quality.
  • Review and create documentation and SOPs (standard operating procedures) for equipment and processes.
  • Participate in the site's safety and environmental programs, by developing and implementing safety protocols and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
  • Must have completed sophomore year studies in a bachelor's level engineering program (preferably mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering).
  • Ability to work full time during the Summer of 2025.
  • An ability to work independently on complicated problems and within the context of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent time management skills to balance daily activities with longer term projects.
  • Willingness to work both at a desk and in a manufacturing plant.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic documents and drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products and other business programs.
