Customer Service Specialist

This position is based in Rhode Island.

Provides exceptional customer support and contributes to the achievement of regional goals. Accurately identifies the nature of customer inquiries, responds appropriately, and documents all interactions using the correct tracking methods and reports.

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $16-$18 per hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manages customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Establishes and maintains standard procedures that improve time management efficiency.
  • Adheres to and promotes all company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and compiles statistical reports as necessary.
  • Participates in cross-training for various responsibilities as required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service is required.
  • Strong understanding of call center reporting and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a higher degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
Pre-Screening:
  • Upon offer, candidates may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and/or MVR check.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • A valid driver's license is required, with a driving record free of major violations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Rare: (less than 10%): squatting, depth perception, color vision, crawling, pushing, pulling, seeing distant, climbing ladders, balancing, gripping.
  • Occasional: (up to 33%): stooping, kneeling, squatting, body twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs., lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., climbing stairs, carrying, lifting, range of motion, reaching.
  • Frequent: (up to 66%): standing, walking, sitting.
  • Continuous: (up to 100%): seeing, reading, hearing-speech-range, speaking clearly.
Safety:

Due to the nature of the industry and the requirement to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must possess sufficient eyesight to judge distances and coordinate equipment and tools, maintain focus for extended periods, endure exposure to various weather conditions while completing tasks, wear personal protective equipment as necessary, enter and exit a vehicle multiple times a day, and perform job duties throughout a standard workday.
