Role Overview: As a Vendor Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing support for various business functions related to power delivery. Your primary responsibility will be to create and enhance processes that meet the diverse needs of a financial group utilizing multiple operational and capital accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business functions in power delivery settings.
  • Develop and implement processes tailored to the requirements of financial operations.
  • Prepare project estimates within the electric and gas utility sectors using appropriate software and manuals.
  • Utilize PC and mainframe applications effectively, including Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.
  • Create customized reports as needed.
  • Assist in the onboarding of vendors in the Oracle Supplier Portal, providing training and support to suppliers and internal partners.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project estimation within the utility industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Office tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of the Accounts Payable process from vendor onboarding to payment.
  • Experience in Supplier/Vendor Maintenance is a plus.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to guide suppliers through the onboarding process.
  • Familiarity with Oracle/Supplier Portals is advantageous.
  • Capability to assist in updating written procedures.
