Position: Cellular Production Specialist

Location: Memphis, TN

Duration: 6+ months (Temp to Hire)

Shift:


• 12-hour shifts


• 1st Shift: 06:00am-06:30pm (2 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 3 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on, 3 shifts off with the 3-days falling Friday – Sunday)


• 2nd Shift: 10:30am-11:00pm (2 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 3 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on, 3 shifts off with the 3-days falling Friday – Sunday)


• Built-in overtime based on the 2-2-3 schedule (i.e., 48-hour week + 36-hour week = 84 hours for a two-week period)

NOTE:

  • This role includes 6 weeks of training to ensure new hires are fully equipped for their responsibilities.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, with an anticipated pay increase upon transition to a permanent position. There is a 2-6 month window for this role.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Cellular Production Specialist is tasked with executing various manufacturing operations related to the initiation and GMP production of innovative cellular products, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and associated standards.
  • Maintain and acquire qualifications necessary for conducting aseptic procedures.
  • Accountable for the production, formulation, and storage of cellular products (including GMP, GDP, and aseptic processing).
  • Under supervision, document GMP-required materials such as standard operating procedures, product specifications, equipment specifications, and batch production records.
  • Support validation efforts pertinent to the manufacturing process.
  • Engage in all facets of manufacturing activities, including raw material support, cell culture, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Consistently adhere to appropriate cleanroom protocols and maintain cleanroom standards.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in a scientific discipline is strongly preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Zero to 1 year of relevant experience in biotechnology or cell therapy.
  • Consideration may be given for less education and professional experience upon successful completion of an internship program.
  • Must be capable of working in a cleanroom environment that may involve hazardous materials and medical equipment.
  • Ability to perform algebraic calculations is necessary.
