This role is essential for advancing high-priority initiatives related to product quality evaluation and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, organization, and testing of samples, ensuring accurate reporting of data.
- Conduct tests independently while adhering to established protocols.
- Manage waste disposal processes in compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Follow strict safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Demonstrate strong time management and analytical skills.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Apply relevant cellulose chemistry principles in daily tasks.
- Exhibit flexibility to accommodate overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related discipline, with experience in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques such as acid-base titration, pH measurement, and moisture analysis.
- Understanding of pulp and paper manufacturing processes is advantageous.
