As a Nursing Assistant on our 12 Campus medical oncology unit, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients with a wide range of oncologic diagnoses.

Our team is trained in delivering chemotherapy and biotherapy, autologous stem cell transplant, and clinical research trials.

We see patients through various phases of their cancer care, from new diagnosis to chemotherapy or radiation treatment, and symptom management.

Closely collaborating with our care team, you will develop strong relationships with patients and their families.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, empathetic, and motivated to provide the highest level of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares exam rooms for provider evaluation, ensuring adequate stock levels of medical supplies.
  • Performs inventory control methods, ordering medical supplies to maintain ongoing patient care.
  • Assists with data collection for nursing history and physical, communicating changes to the RN or CRNP.
  • Provides patient and family information to the RN or CRNP for coordination of care.
  • Maintains a safe environment, protecting patients from injury by observing those at risk for falls, confusion, disorientation, wandering, or suicidal behaviors.
  • Participates in staff meetings and performs periodic quality control on urinalysis and pregnancy tests.
  • Assists the physician or CRNP to perform physical exams, documents findings, and patient results on patient documents and in the patient's EMR.

Credentials:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Certified Nurse Aid (Required) CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania

Education Specialization:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
