Job Title: Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team at Equiliem Healthcare. As a Medical Coding Specialist, you will play a vital role in accurately coding and reporting physician services for professional billing purposes.

About the Role:
  • Utilize expertise in CPT-4 service codes and ICD-10 diagnoses codes to ensure accurate and compliant coding practices.
  • Analyze patient records to determine principal diagnosis and level of service, applying Departmental standards for documentation and reporting.
  • Systematically review and analyze patient charts to produce coded abstracts for physician billing, ensuring 95% accuracy.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of current diagnosis and procedural coding practices, staying up-to-date with industry developments and certification requirements.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of coding experience, preferably in an ED/ Cardiology/ Hospital Setting.
  • Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) certification is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • E/M and Critical Care coding experience.
  • EPIC experience required.
