Wet Dog Glass, LLC is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team. As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and installation of control panels, programming of PLCs, and communication with supervisors to ensure seamless production.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble control panels, including dimensioning and layout, mounting of components, and wiring of components.
- Program PLCs according to set requirements.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding changes, corrections, and improvements.
- Track and manage inventory to maintain stock for production schedules.
- Assemble control panels onto finished equipment, including field wiring, cabling, and conduit bending.
- Assemble and install small gas plumbing trains.
- Aid other departments in the building of the complete unit as part of the production team.
- Minimum 1 year experience in fabrication, construction, electrical, or related fields.
- Experience in electrical wiring, control systems, industrial machines, and PLCs is preferred.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials up to 25Lbs.
- Medium physical effort equal to occasionally lifting or moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, kneel, and reach.
- Perform repetitive wiring tasks constantly using hands and arm.
- Ability to see and handle small parts and wires of different colors.
