Job Title: Lead Tech Mechanical Engineer

Markem-Imaje is a leading provider of innovative solutions for product quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing efficiency. We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Tech Mechanical Engineer to join our global team.

Job Summary:

The Lead Tech Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for implementing, validating, and maintaining mechanical subsystems for our current and future printers. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in CAD design, engineering simulations, and lab experiments. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical subsystems for our printers, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with global mechanical discipline to implement best practices and tools, improving team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and mentor the local mechanical engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Work with third-party engineering partners to ensure efficient interfaces and effective collaboration.
  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art mechanical engineering development practices, such as rapid prototyping and FEA simulation.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering R&D roles within an industrial environment.
  • Experience designing industrial products from concept to production.
  • Experience in CAD design (Creo/Windchill preferred), FEA, and thermal/pneumatics/electro-mechanical testing.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience performing engineering team leadership within an industrial manufacturing environment.
