About the job Precision Mechanical Assembler 1st Shift
As a key member of our team at Phantom Staffing, you will be responsible for the assembly and installation of precision mechanical components. Your work will involve building and testing complex systems, installing software, and troubleshooting issues. You will also be responsible for the installation of slides, spindles, and alignment of slides, as well as tracing and measuring mechanical components.
Key skills and qualifications include:
• Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of technical precision machines and associated systems.
• Must be able to read and understand technical documentation and prints / specifications and use sophisticated measuring instruments and gauges.
• Knowledge of CNC controls, and some basic programming.
• Operate various machine and hand tools, including micrometers, verniers, soldering and wire crimping tools.
• Skilled using material handling equipment.
• Ability to work independently and meet production schedules.
• Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to include Engineering and Applications on standard and special system builds.
• Stand for extended periods of time, reach with both hands and bend as necessary, frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
Additional responsibilities may include:
• Participating in training of customers, customer buy-offs, training of field and other personnel.
• Occasional field work to include installations, and service work.
