Job Overview

The Adam Kay Group is seeking a Senior Product Applications Engineer to enhance our engineering team. Our organization specializes in the development of electromagnetic sensors tailored for engine applications, and this role is pivotal within our sensor application and product development division.

This position involves utilizing systems such as Team Center and SAP to facilitate the creation of sensor products, application engineering, and the launch of manufacturing activities. As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will engage in various projects, including product development within Team Center/SAP and the management of external tooling procurement and testing. Candidates should have a robust background in designing electro-mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients, sales teams, and product engineers to comprehend customer needs and deliver effective product solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing for technical applications of sensor products.
  • Design sensor products in alignment with product specifications and customer requirements; document, implement, and validate design criteria for production.
  • Prepare technical proposals to support quotations and orders, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to identify and develop component suppliers, ensuring they meet product and performance standards.
  • Engage in pre-production and prototype activities, both in-house and with partner facilities, while analyzing product performance data.
  • Contribute to Product Quality Planning and Six Sigma initiatives, supporting other business priorities as directed.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Electrical and/or Mechanical CAD software.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Product/Applications Engineering with similar products.
  • Hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical assembly.
  • A general understanding of hall sensor and magnetic target product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Extensive experience in designing for manufacturability.
  • Familiarity with software such as Team Center, Pro-Engineer, and UG CAD.

This position is based onsite. A competitive relocation package is available. Please note that contract, contract-to-hire, or sponsorship options are not available for this role.

Compensation

The compensation for this position is competitive, with a base salary complemented by a potential bonus of 10%.
