Job Overview

Position Summary:

  • The candidate for this role should possess a strong foundation in systems engineering, development, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Key programming languages for this position include Visual Basic (VB6 and newer versions) and LabView, utilized within multi-rack testing environments.
  • Typical testing setups involve various components such as switching systems, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), power supplies, and other RF or digital equipment.
  • This role also entails the development and maintenance of Environmental Stress Screening (thermal and vibration) testing apparatus and associated software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, integrate, and document production testing software for aviation-related products.
  • Create test hardware including fixtures, cabling, and circuit boards while generating engineering estimates for intricate tasks.
  • Conduct engineering requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for complex designs.
  • Facilitate design reviews for testing software and ensure comprehensive design documentation is produced.
  • Prepare and deliver project-related and technical presentations to colleagues, internal management, and clients, while mentoring junior engineers.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree combined with 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Alternatively, in the absence of a degree, 9 years of pertinent experience is required. Engineering and other technical roles typically necessitate a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) along with at least 5 years of relevant experience unless restricted by local laws or regulations.
