Phlebotomist II Float Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II Float to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Bend, OR. As a Phlebotomist II Float, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment, where no two days will be the same.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients and prepare them for lab testing.
  • Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
  • Coach, mentor, and instruct new employees, as well as provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.
  • Travel to additional doctors' offices or Patient Service Center sites when needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
