Job Overview

First Southern National Bank is seeking a highly skilled Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, while also performing various operational and accounting functions to support the bank's operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and other bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new bank products and services, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and branches to resolve debit card disputes and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all procedures associated with operations functions, ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
  • Draft and update procedures to streamline operational functions, improving efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports as needed, providing valuable insights to management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving problems within given authority and promoting a positive customer experience.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and banking regulations, ensuring the bank's reputation and integrity are maintained.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or three to five years of related banking or accounting experience.
  • Proficient level of computer competency, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, service, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.
