Job Title: Assistant Group Supervisor - Out of School Time Program

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Group Supervisor for the Out of School Time (OST) Program. This program serves children and youth in Philadelphia area schools, offering a range of activities and services designed to promote their development and well-being.

About the Role:

  • Assist with supervising children in the OST Program, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Help plan and deliver daily program activities, including projects and events that promote learning and skill-building.
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain a clean and safe environment, responding to the needs of children and families.
  • Provide academic assistance to children and youth, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and two years/2500 hours of experience working with children, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required by the program.
  • Familiarity with mandated reporter regulations, trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, and crisis management.

Compensation:

The starting rate is $18.54 per hour, with bonuses, transportation/cellphone subsidy, 401(k) retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, student loan forgiveness, adoption assistance, first-time homebuyer assistance, and accrual of sick leave.
