**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Surgical Operations Manager to join our team at United Surgical Partners International. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our surgical department, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local guidelines.

**About the Role**

In this critical leadership position, you will have the authority and responsibility for making administrative decisions in the absence of the Administrator or their designee. You will also be responsible for promoting and maintaining quality through effective management of patient care services during assigned shifts. Your expertise in patient flow management and bed control issues will ensure seamless operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist with chart audits to ensure regulatory agency compliance.
  • Serve on various hospital committees to drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in Grand Rounds with Case Management to enhance patient care.
  • Assist with patient transfers and ensure MOT compliance.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a leadership or management capacity.
  • A current Texas Nursing License and BLS certification.
  • ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • A strong knowledge base relative to surgical procedures and patient management.
  • The ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • Understanding of aseptic technique and its implementation.
  • The ability to care for patients across all age groups, from infancy to geriatrics.
  • Excellent teaching skills and a basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology.

**Compensation**

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
