Job Description

The Pediatric Nursing Specialist - Professional Development will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our nursing staff. As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing educational programs, providing clinical guidance and mentorship, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver educational programs to support the professional development of nursing staff
  • Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to new graduate nurses and experienced staff members
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement best practices in pediatric nursing care
  • Maintain current knowledge of pediatric nursing standards, guidelines, and regulations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in pediatric critical care nursing, preferably in a leadership or education role
  • Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
