Job Summary

ABM Industries is seeking a highly skilled Janitorial Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of our janitorial team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and direct team members to perform duties according to established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Effectively operate current technology required to track and process work orders.
  • Adhere to all ADA non-discrimination requirements and ensure compliance with all safety, security, and quality standards.
  • Assist managers in achieving strong operational performance and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels, ensure accurate scheduling, and manage employee lunches and breaks.
  • Communicate with client representatives on a regular basis regarding operations and maintain daily shift reports for managers.
  • Effectively coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
  • Conduct service audits and work with the Safety Quality Manager to ensure the safety and security of the operation.
  • Set a positive, professional example for the workforce and ensure compliance with all safety, security, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • No experience required, with on-the-job training provided.
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
  • Preferred qualifications include customer service experience, one year of similar work experience, and bilingual skills (English, Spanish, Creole).
