About the Role:

The Accounts Payable Agent I will process AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc.'s accounts payables in a timely manner. This role will prepare payments for expense vouchers and invoices, and completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify accuracy of invoices and schedules payments to vendors, customers, and creditors
  • Enter invoices and purchase orders into financial systems, obtains internal approval
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents with scanning department, and generate routine balance reports. Prepare and perform check runs
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Maintain vendors files and accounting documentation
  • Coordinate vendor's billing and collections activities. Handle their inquiries and negotiate with past-due accounts

Qualifications:

  • Education Qualifications
    • High School Diploma Required
    • Associate's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field Preferred
  • Experience Qualifications
    • 1+ years Work experience in accounting and/or knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures Required
    • 3+ years Proficient in MS Word, Excel, CargoWise experience Preferred or
    • 1+ years Knowledge of transportation industry and office experience Preferred
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Advanced in Microsoft Office, Outlook (High proficiency)
    • Strong problem solving skills with ability to develop new ideas and innovative solutions (High proficiency)
    • High attention to detail and accuracy (High proficiency)
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (Medium proficiency)
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment (Medium proficiency)
    • Efficient time management/organization skills (Medium proficiency)
