About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a high level of awareness of food safety and quality issues and report any concerns to management.
  2. Maintenance Support: Provide effective and efficient maintenance support to ensure the smooth operation of our plants.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  4. Boiler Operation and Maintenance: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of boilers, including maintenance, recordkeeping, and troubleshooting.
  5. Ammonia Refrigeration System Maintenance: Maintain the ammonia refrigeration system to ensure optimal performance.
  6. Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and repair mechanical and electrical issues on plant equipment and systems.
  7. Training and Development: Assist in the training of new employees and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  8. Communication and Teamwork: Effectively communicate with production workers, vendors, and management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate's degree or certificate in a related technical field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of skilled experience in mechanical maintenance and repair work; 3-5 years of experience with PLC's and VFD's preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Ability to obtain an Electrical/Boilers License; valid driver's license required.
